Daily Capture SOP
## Daily Capture SOP
Run this every morning before starting any work. The goal is to clear your head, sort incoming inputs, and choose your top 3 actions for the day.
### Step 1 — Brain Dump (5 min)
Write down everything on your mind: ideas, tasks, worries, opportunities, things you said you would do. Do not filter. Just capture.
### Step 2 — Sort Each Item
For every item from your brain dump, ask:
- Which lane does this belong to?
- Is this a P1 (do today), P2 (do this week), or P3 (someday)?
- Who owns it — Joe, Kathryn, or shared?
- What is the single next physical action?
Use the Project Sorter in Mission Control for anything unclear.
### Step 3 — Choose Your Top 3
From all your P1 items, pick the 3 that move the most important needle today. Write them in the Today dashboard.
### Step 4 — Clear the Inbox
Move every captured item into Mission Control:
- Active → Active Projects board
- Not now → Archive
- Idea to explore → Capture form
### Step 5 — Set Your Intention
Write one sentence: "Today I will focus on _____ because _____." This keeps you anchored when distractions hit.
---
**Time required:** 10–15 minutes
**Frequency:** Every morning
**Tool:** Mission Control Today dashboard + Capture form
Weekly Review SOP
## Weekly Review SOP
Run this every Friday or Sunday. The goal is to close the week cleanly, reduce clutter, and set up the next week with clarity.
### Step 1 — Review Active Projects (10 min)
Open the Active Projects board. For each project ask:
- Did this move forward this week?
- Is it stuck? Why?
- Does it still belong in the top priority tier?
- Does anything need a decision from Joe or Kathryn?
### Step 2 — Identify Wins
List 3–5 things that moved forward this week. Even small progress counts. This builds momentum and evidence.
### Step 3 — Surface Stuck Items
List anything that has not moved in 7+ days. For each stuck item:
- Is it blocked by a missing asset, decision, or person?
- Can it be unblocked in under 30 minutes?
- Should it be archived?
### Step 4 — Archive Candidates
Move anything that is not getting worked on in the next 30 days to the Archive. Good ideas do not expire — they just wait.
### Step 5 — Set Next Week Top 3
Choose the 3 projects or actions that will define a successful week. Write them in the Today dashboard.
### Step 6 — Update 30-Day Plan
Check the 30-Day Plan. Mark completed items. Adjust anything that has shifted.
